Wow. Wow wow wow. I really appreciate all of this perspective, and it's giving me a lot to think about! I do want to quickly note that I love your suggestions for games, as I've been curious to find more! We have a set of Esther Perel's "Where Should We Begin" game that we've integrated into our weekly check-ins, but I've been craving some variety in games like this. It's so much easier to learn more about one another, share things, and be vulnerable with one another in a way that feels a bit safer when "someone else" (aka the game) is the one posing the questions, so we're not being put on the spot to think of something to ask. It also gives us more opportunity to be like, "Hmm I don't really have a good answer for that one, can we pick another one?" Somehow it takes some of the pressure off while leaving plenty of room to share as much as we feel comfortable sharing in that moment, and it's led us to a lot of conversations we wouldn't have otherwise had. Can't wait to try out some of these games from your suggestions!
